The Journal Finder is a tool to help you locate specific journals or articles. You access the Journal Finder from within MULibrary Search

Your turn:
Click on MULibrary Search from the under ‘Quick Links’ column on the library’s homepage.

2 of 2Then click on the ‘Journal Finder’ option on the top level navigation bar.

Search for a journal

To get started finding a particular journal type the title of the journal you are looking for in the search bar. To get the best results you should be logged into to your MyLibrary Account, you can do this by clicking the ‘Sign In’ link in the upper right hand corner.

For this exercise you can use the Journal of Education as a sample search or choose a journal of interest.

Your turn:
Sign into your library account via the upper left hand corner link then type the title of the Journal in the search bar and click 'Search'.

If we have access to the journal you are searching for it will be listed in the results. If you used the provided sample search you will see there are many journals that contain the phrase Journal of Education so be sure to locate the correct journal.

Click on the title of the journal you are looking for in the results list.

Now you are looking at the full record of the journal. You should see one or more databases listed that have access to your journal.

**Note different databases cover different publication date ranges - be sure to select the database with the most appropriate date range.**

Select the database with the date range coverage you need.

Searching within a journal


Now you can search within that journal for a particular article or topic or you can choose to browse by issue.
